From 1847 onwards, upon successfully passing examinations, graduates of the Arsakeio School received a primary school teacher’s diploma—classified as Grade A, B, or C—depending on their overall grade. In 1861, the Arsakeio School was officially designated as a Teachers' College, thereby making its diploma equivalent to state-issued diplomas.
