The Pan-Balkan Track and Field Games 1929 or Pro-Balkan Games, as they were later called, were a trial sports event of the Balkan Track and Field Championship, held under the supervision of the Association of Hellenic Gymnastic Sports Associations (SEGAS). The event was held at the Panathenaic Stadium in Athens, Greece, on the last two Sundays of September: September 22 and 28–29, 1929
During the games the sports representatives of the Balkan states agreed to establish an annual ranked Balkan Athletics Championship, which would start the following year in 1930 from Athens. Thus this test championship of 1929 was called "pro-Balkan", since the official establishment of the games took place in 1930
Greece emerged as the winner with 107 points and 15 victories in 21 events. Bulgaria, Yugoslavia and Romania also participated
