Georgios Mantzavinos (1888 - 1955) was an economist, banker and politician. Governor of the Bank of Greece (1946-1955) and member of the Supreme Economic Committee during the Government of Panagiotis Kanellopoulos in 1945. Particularly known for his rare ''signatures'' on the banknotes of the era.
