Bella Raftopoulou was born in 1902 in Athens and studied at the Athens School of Fine Arts where she had Thomas Thomopoulos as her teacher. Between 1927 and 1930 she studied on a scholarship in Paris with Antoine Bourdelle and was also a student of Dimitris Galanis. Upon her return to Greece, she held her first solo exhibition, took part in the Art Group and at the same time made several trips to various countries in Europe. After the end of World War II, she settled permanently in Paris. Starting in 1930, she held several solo exhibitions and at the same time participated in dozens of group exhibitions in and outside Greece. Her participations in the Venice Biennale in 1934 and 1940, in the Paris International Exhibition in 1937, etc. stand out. At the same time, he supported Angelos Sikelianos and Eva Palmer in the organization of the Delphic Festival. He died in 1992 in Athens.
