Extremely elegant and beautiful mini miniature in Gold 18k (hallmarked with Eagle Head) with rubies and brilliant 

Gustave Sandoz au Palais Royal Paris, jeweler.

As seen on the box of the miniature, it was awarded to someone with initials L.H. in 1897 at the Société d' Encouragement a l' Art & a l' Industrie.

The Society for the Encouragement of Art and Industry (Société d' Encouragement a l' Art & a l' Industrie) is an old learned society, founded in 1889 by Gustave Larroumet, director of the École des Beaux-Arts, and Gustave Sandoz, the Parisian jeweler mentioned above and founder of the French Committee exhibitions.
