Drosos Drosopoulos (1876-1967) served as Chief of the Royal Gendarmerie from 1934 to 1941, making him the longest-serving in the history of the Corps.

Themos Nezer (1891-?) was an actor, sculptor, painter and poet, of the well-known artistic Nezer family. The work bears his signature, as it is faintly visible and in full name, at the bottom right with the date 1949.
