Dimos Patridis (1906-1985) was the last official Royal Photographer. He studied at the School of Fine Arts with classmates Moralis, Tsarouchis and Perantinos and was a student of Roylos and Parthenis. His influence from the latter was so great that it was difficult to distinguish whether the works were his or his teacher's. He took up photography for livelihood reasons but eventually loved it, without abandoning photopainting. In 1936 he opened his workshop in Omirou and in 1951 he was officially awarded the title of Royal Photographer.
