Dimitrios Gounaris (Patra, 5 January 1867 – Goudi, 28 November 1922) was a Greek lawyer and conservative politician, founder of the first right-wing party, who served three times as Prime Minister of Greece.
In 1919, he participated as leader of the People's Party in the elections, in which he was elected, forming a government shortly afterwards. During his government, it was decided to continue the Asia Minor campaign, which led to economic bankruptcy, defeat by the Turkish army and the overthrow of the government. After the establishment of the new regime, he was referred along with other government officials to an extraordinary military court and on 28 November 1922 he was executed in Goudi. His nephew was the later Prime Minister, Panagiotis Kanellopoulos.
