Pantelis Panopoulos was born in Stemnitsa in the second half of the 19th century and apprenticed with his uncle, Georgios Roilos. He opened his workshop in Thessaloniki, shortly before the liberation, where he maintained it until the end of his life. His works are varied. Portraits, inscriptions, banners, hagiographies, even entire churches painting.
