Nikolaos Plastiras (4 November 1883 – 26 July 1953), also known as the "Black Horseman", was a Greek military and politician. He became known for his actions during the Balkan Wars (where he acquired the nickname Black Horseman) and the Asia Minor campaign as commander of the 542nd Evzone Battalion, while he often participated in military movements. He was a pro-Venizelian and served as Prime Minister of Greece three times, once in 1945 and twice in 1950-1952.
