Rigas Feraios Velestinlis (1757-1798) was a Greek writer, politician, thinker and revolutionary. He is considered a national martyr and a precursor of the Greek Revolution.
Christoforos Perraivos (1773 – 1863) was a Greek teacher, writer, soldier and prominent fighter of the Greek Revolution of 1821.
He accompanied Rigas during his journey from Vienna to Trieste and was present during his arrest by the Austrian Police in December 1797
