Georgios K. Gardikas was born in 1869 in Lagadia, Gortynia. He was appointed assistant professor and extraordinary professor of Greek Philology at the University of Athens. He also served as the Headmaster of the Gymnasium of Arsakeio and as a Councilor of the Archaeological Society. He died in Athens on May 22, 1936. He published Greek Literature, the Dramas of Euripides, and many other literary works.
