Nik. D. Levidis studied law and literature. He was repeatedly elected Member of Parliament for Attica from 1881 to 1920. For his rhetorical skills, he was called the "nightingale of the Parliament". He served as Minister of the Navy (1895), Minister of Justice (Government of Georgios Theotokis of 1903), and Minister of the Interior (1908).
