The signed photographs were gifted to Maria - Magdalini Cousta, who was the wife of Georgios Coustas, as a farewell goodbye for their long stay in Tehran(September 1943- June 1952).

Georgios Coustas was an important Greek Diplomat and he was the Greek Ambassador in Persia from 1943 to 1952.

The photographs are accompanied by two handwritten letters in French from the Persian imperial court, sent to Coustas house in Athens on July 5th 1952.

The Shah's photograph is signed by him in Persian dated 1952.

Soraya's photograph is signed by her in English dated 3rd of July 1952.
